1 Norman kings Today we are talking about the Norman kings, the Normans are the ones that lived in Northern France. If you want to listen to music you press the thing.

2 William The Conqueror William I of England ( c. 1027–1087), also known as William the Conqueror, was the first Norman King of England (1066–1087). He was also the Duke of Normandy from 1035 until his death. At the Battle of Hastings William defeated Harold Godwinson, the last Anglo-Saxon king of England. William the Conqueror also was the king of England when he killed Harold Godwinson. He was married to Matilda Flanders in 1051 and had 9 sons, including two kings , Henry I and William II.

3 Harold Godwinson Harold II (or Harold Godwinson; Old English: Harold Godƿinson; Latin: Haroldus; c. 1022 – 14 October 1066) was the last Anglo-Saxon king of England.[a] Harold reigned from 6 January 1066[1] until his death at the Battle of Hastings on 14 October, fighting theNorman invaders led by William the Conqueror during the Norman conquest of England. His death marked the end of Anglo-Saxon rule over England. Harold was a powerful earl and member of a prominent Anglo-Saxon family with ties to King Cnut. Upon the death of Edward the Confessor in January 1066, the Witenagemot convened and chose Harold to succeed; he was crowned in Westminster Abbey. In late September he successfully repelled an invasion by rival claimant Harald Hardrada of Norway, before marching his army back south to meet William the Conqueror at Hastings some two weeks later.

4 The battle of Hastings The Battle of Hastings was a battle between the Normans and the Englands. This happened because William the Conqueror wanted to be the English king. It happened on the 14th of October It ended at about 6:00PM. The leader of the Englands team was Harold Godwinson(king of England). One of the Roman archers shot Harold in the eye and he then died. They were fighting so they could be the England king. The reason why the Normans won was because they had more archers.
