1 Why do I believe in God?

2 I believe in God because my family practiced the Catholic faith when I was growing up.
I think that everything happens for a reason and that there is such a thing as miracles and that God makes them happen. Lastly, when I think of certain things like the moon, stars and how babies are born, I have no reason to believe that the Holy Spirit does not exist.  Sometimes there are just no words for certain things that we "believe" in.

3 How can I not!  The beauty and awesomeness of our world that are is so carefully designed with such precision and purpose - who else but our Creator could have architected that!  And he must love babies -people or animals - babies are so cute!

4 I believe in God because when I am quiet and still, I know in my heart that I am not alone.

5 Because I can't imagine not believing in God
Because I can't imagine not believing in God. Who would I talk to when I'm feeling lost or confused? Who would I thank for the amazing blessing all around me? Countless blessing of family, school community, friends, neighbors and the beauty of all different kinds of life (plants, animals, etc). Who would I pray to for others? Who would be at my side when I feel there is no one? Who would provide the examples/answers in response to my thoughts and questions?

6 How can you not, when you look around at everything in this world
How can you not, when you look around at everything in this world?  Someone who loves us very much gave it all to us, from the sunrise, to my children's beautiful eyes, to my caring husband, to coffee, wine and chocolate!

7 I believe in God because of all the evidence around me that God exists
I believe in God because of all the evidence around me that God exists. The beauty and vastness of the universe, all the awesome sights, sounds, smells, touch, and tastes in the natural world, the complexity and creativity of human beings. It all proves to me that there is an infinitely intelligent designer and in reading of the covenants he has made with man and his love for us is icing on the cake (cake, of course, is additional reason to believe).

8 I was always told that God doesn't give you more than you can handle
I was always told that God doesn't give you more than you can handle. At 21 I had a major surgery that required a second surgery... At 21 that is a tough thing to handle and you make some dumb decisions but I lived. At 25 I had a high risk pregnancy with my first child and made it through a difficult time and almost flat lined on the delivery table but I made it back. 8 years later I found out we were pregnant with twins. Not an easy pregnancy either. I went through alot of tests and procedures with that and even when we were told that there was going to be a problem it resolved itself which we were told would never happen. I made it to 38 weeks and 3 days with the twins and they were healthy. A lot of things have happened in my life that make me question and in the end I always come back to he is there because I have made it through all of it.

9 I believe in God because He lives in me
I believe in God because He lives in me. He moves me to do good in the world. He lives in and through each one of us and in all of His incredible creation. The enormity and complexity (intelligence) of creation alone is reason to believe; the beauty of it is just another aspect.  As I can see there is also evil in each of us and in the world, I also know there is good and that Good is God. GOD is love and even instances of most terrible evil, comes the opportunity for God and love to show His face.  I have felt the movement of The Spirit and cannot ever deny His presence in my life.

10 Because things exist!

11 Because I spoke with Him this morning

12 Cause I dream about him sometimes
Cause I dream about him sometimes. Cause the flowers bloom each spring and the leaves come back on the trees.

13 Getting older many things have reinforced my belief in God
Getting older many things have reinforced my belief in God. Thinking back though, the reason I believe in the first place is my dad. I can remember him taking me with him to church from a very young age. He always told me to love God and put God first.  He set a great example for me to see in his own life. Just as I felt secure in my dad's love as a child, I always felt secure in God's love as I grew into an adult remembering what I'd been taught and doing those things the best I could-even through hard or lonely times.
