All pharmacies eligible (incl DSPs & PhAS) Two sets of requirements: Gateway criteria: No points but you MUST achieve them to be eligible for any Quality Payments Quality Payments criteria: Several categories. Points = income Some important changes since the April review date. Sign up for PSNC news to ensure you’re kept informed on new NHS England guidance

10 Gateway criteria Pharmacies must meet all 4:
Offering MURs, NMS or NUMSAS NHS Choices entry up to date Ability to send and receive via NHSmail Ongoing utilisation of EPS No Quality Payments unless you first pass the gateway

11 Gateway criteria Advanced Services: You must list NMS/MUR on your NHS Choices profile NHS Choices (bricks & mortar): You must edit/validate all three sections between 11th Sep & 24th Nov You must list NMS/MUR in your public profile No second chances this time NHS Choices (DSPs): If you claimed in April, you’ll receive a survey w/c 2nd Oct to complete by on 24th Nov Other DSPs: Contact NHS Choices immediately. Contact PSNC if any issues

12 Gateway criteria NHSmail: EPS: No changes
You must be able to send & receive NHSmail on 24th Nov (not just have applied for an account). Pharmacy account Activate your account now If you don’t have NHSmail yet, apply immediately and activate your account as soon as you receive it Guidance at psnc.org.uk/NHSmail EPS: No changes

13 Quality Payments criteria
Patient safety report: 20 points (£1,280), once a year No changes. Written annual patient safety report, demonstrating learning Safeguarding: 5 points (£320), twice a year = £640 in total No changes: 80% registered pharmacy professionals must have completed level 2 training in last two years Make sure 80% still comply (incl new starters) Dementia Friends: 5 points (£320), twice a year = £640 in total No changes. Make sure 80% of all patient-facing staff are still Dementia Friends

14 Quality Payments criteria
HLP Level 1: 20 points (£1,280), once a year No changes GMLPC & Bolton LPC support: HLP webinar: 7.30pm, Tue 26th Sep HLP Leadership & Health Champions training in Sep & Oct Info & booking via psnc.org.uk/greater-manchester-lpc DSPs: DSPs prohibited from providing Essential Services incl public health (promotion of healthy lifestyles). PSNC view: currently unlikely DSPs could meet requirements for HLP

Summary Care Record: 5 points (£320), twice a year = £640 in total No changes: increased use of SCR between 01/05/17 – 26/11/17, compared with 03/10/16 – 30/04/17. Usage calculator ( Asthma reviews: 10 points (£640), twice a year = £1,280 in total No changes, but check staff knowledge GM Inhaler technique check service may be relevant

16 Quality Payments criteria
CPPQ: 5 points (£320), twice a year = £640 in total No changes: Publish CPPQ results on NHS Choices DSPs: Publish results on your website and notify NHS Choices service desk NHS 111 DoS: 2.5 points (£160), twice a year = £320 in total There will be a new process for checking & updating DoS entry Pharmacies can volunteer to trial this (all IT levels) your name, number & by tomorrow evening (19th Sep) to take part

19 Income opportunities: Advanced services
Significant potential from NMS & MUR Benefits patients but many pharmacies not participating For example: Only 64% on average of GMLPC pharmacies carried out any NMS from Sep 2016 to Mar Those claiming carried out an average of 11 NMS consultations 83% on average of GMLPC pharmacies carried out any MURs from Sep 2016 to Mar Those claiming carried out an average of 30 MUR consultations
