History! Clive Campbell ”Kool Herc” created the blueprint for Hip-Hop music, by building upon the tradition of Jamaican Toasting. Early 1970’s DJ Kool Hrec organized dance parties in his home.

History 2! After dance crews formed, rivalry dance crews formed that lead to dance battles. Dance crews are how one practiced, improved, made friends, and build relationships. From the start, crews were neighborhood based and would engage in battles in their cites. Hip-Hop dance refers to social or choreographed styles primarily danced to Hip-Hop music. Hip-Hop is freestyle improvisational. International Hip-Hop has influenced France and South Korean. Hip-Hop dance is only a hobby to others it is a life style.

History 3! Early Hip-Hop helped reduce gang violence.
Then soon became popular outside. The first three dance groups are Rock Steady Crew, The Lockers, and The Electric Boogaloos Breaking, locking, and popping are the oldest and most established of all Hip-Hop dances. Street dancing does not require counts. Hip-hop has been in films and TV but not yet established in theater.
