The Jesus Seminar is comprised of scholars that determine that Jesus only said a small percentage of what is recorded in the Bible.
A notable member that fits this description is Robert Funk, the Seminar’s
founder.

3. What they do?
The Jesus Seminar talk about the historical Jesus and vote on whether the things Jesus said and did actually happened.
Using what they agree on they craft their understanding of the
historical Jesus.

4. How they do it?
They had an anonymous vote in which they pass around a box and drop in beads.
The color of the bead determines how much they believe if it actually happened.
Red - Very certain
Pink - Not so certain
Gray - Very uncertain
Black - Did not happen
