8 Step 2: Placement for Grade 6
th Grade th Grade Math Year1 5th Grade Math Meets following criteria: Math Year 1&2 Grade of “4” in math & at least 85% on placement test OR Standard Exceeded on SBAC Grade of “3” in math & 92% on placement test OR at least 85% on placement test AND Standard Exceeded on SBAC

9 Step 2: Placement for Grade 7
th Grade th Grade Math Year2 6th Grade Math Math Year 2&3 Meets following criteria: 88% at Semester 1 AND: 92% at Quarter 3 and at least 85% at Semester 2 88% at Quarter 3 and at least 92% at Semester 2

10 Step 2: Placement for Grade 8
th Grade th Grade Math Year3 7th Grade Math Math Year 3 and Algebra Meets following criteria: 90% at Semester 1 and 90% at Quarter 3 88% at Semester 1/Q3 and 90% on semester final

11 Step 2: Placement for Grade 9
th Grade th Grade Earn C or higher in Math Year 3 Math Year 3 Algebra 1 Did not earn C or higher in Math Year 3 Algebra 1 with intervention Meets at least two criteria: Algebra 1 & Geometry 2-period block class Semester 1 Grade at least B+ Third Quarter Progress Report Grade at least B+ Grade 8 CAASPP Achievement Level of Standard Exceeded or Standard Met

th Grade th Grade Meets at least two criteria: Geometry at ESHS Algebra 2 Honors Semester 1 Grade at least A- 12-week Progress Report Grade at least A- Grade 8 CAASPP Achievement Level of Standard Exceeded Placement criteria for grades and all Math courses
