2 POSTING RULES… Posting – transferring information from a journal entry to a ledger account. Rules: Amounts in a journal’s “General” amount columns are posted individually. Amounts in a journal’s “Special” amount columns (Sales & Cash) are NOT posted individually – ONLY the totals are posted. LESSON 4-2
