34 Elementary Schools 11 Middle Schools 5 High Schools 4,940 identified ELL students MG: Last school year, RRISD identified and served 4,940 English Language Learners throughout the District. We anticipate an increase in our ELL population at the 34 elementary, 11 middle and 5 high schools

5 ESL campuses All middle and high school campuses within RRISD are serving enrolled English language learners. MG: Students being served in the English as a Second Language (ESL) program attend their zoned campus

6 Purpose of Bilingual Allotment Funds
The intent of the Bilingual Allotment funds is to ensure that English language learners (ELL) attain English language proficiency and meet the state's challenging academic achievement standards. The Bilingual and English as a Second Language (ESL) programs are designed to help students whose primary language (other than English) master linguistic proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing. 7 Allowable Use of State Bilingual Education Allotment
Program and Student Evaluation TerraNova and WMLS-R assessment materials Instructional materials and equipment Instructional materials that ensure linguistic and academic differentiation that support English language learners Supplemental staff expenses Extended-day tutorials for ELLs; academic enhancement; and linguistic acceleration of English proficiency acquisition MG: State Bilingual allotment funds are allocated to each campus based upon the number of identified ELL enrolled on the PEIMs snapshot day from the previous school year. This date is historically the last Friday in October. These funds are considered supplemental to the costs related to general education Here are some examples of allowable uses for these funds

9 WMLS-R and TerraNova Assessment Materials
OLPT answer documents were sent via campus mail Additional document will be requested using the Google document Request Order Form LPAC chair should contact Odie Guerra at 5186 for further information Your designated campus LPAC chair should have received WMLS- R student assessment answer documents via inter campus mail. Should you need additional answer documents for Woodcock Muñoz Language Survey - Revised and TerraNova, please contact me at I will be sharing a Google Doc with the link to order assessments with the LPAC Chairs next week. We will be filling orders this school year using the Request Order Form using the link being provided
