The CO2 production of a sitting person: qCO2 = 5,37 cm3/s (19,3 dm3/h) When the outside air concentration is 380 ppm and we do not want to exceed the indoor concentration of 1200 ppm, the air flow rate needed per person is: Qiv = qCO2 / ΔCCO2=(5,37 cm3/s/( ) cm3/m3) = 6,5 dm3/s (compare to D2: 6 l/s, person)

The concentration changes 63 % of the total change during 1 time constant. After a time corresponding to 4 nominal time constants, the indoor concentration will equal 98 % of the final, steady- state concentration.
