Now let me tell you something about the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Main activities Strengthen our status by managing Inter-University Agreements Enhance our presence by facilitating staff and student mobility Participate in international organizations integrating an international dimension Disseminate information promoting international awareness Participate in international events The Department of International Relations serves as an information center for international relations issues ... and links to higher education institutions worldwide. It has enabled the University to develop a strong presence and high reputation in the international scientific and academic community. The Department's main activities are to: award, promote, coordinate and manage inter-university agreements for academic cooperation agreements with foreign institutions enable AUTh faculty members to come into contact with foreign universities to develop research collaborations and programs and to pursue teaching activities that contribute to the exchange of knowledge and experience promote and facilitate the exchange of students ensure, facilitate, monitor and fulfill AUTh's participation in international associations and organizations inform the university community on issues of international scientific cooperation such as conferences, inter-cultural exchanges, scholarships and competitions organizing the hosting of foreign scientists and delegations participate in international exhibitions and events provide administrative support for international conferences, workshops and networks in which AUTh is involved

3 AUTh with international outreach
Department of International Relations All mobility within the framework of our Inter-University Agreements will enhance our visibility among the traditionally prestigious academic institutions all over the world by establishing long-term cooperation schemes at all levels of research, education and training.

4 The main objectives of these agreements are:
exchange of faculty members exchange of undergraduate and postgraduate students development of research collaborations and projects promotion of summer language and cultural courses

18 Tools for achieving our goals
Strategic planning Priorities Rules Financing Instruments for the achievement of the objectives and the implementation of these cooperatives are: the strategic plan adopted along with the priorities and the following of the regulations. The most powerful tool, however, is the funding, the budget provided to implement the internationalization strategy.

21 Organization of 4 Scientific conferences on research cooperation between AUTh and the University of Alabama, US (2014 – 2017)

22 Submission of the Proposal to HANBAN for the
Organization Summer School in AUTh, in collaboration with the Chiba University of Japan (2014 and 2016). Organization Summer School (2015 and 2017) at Chiba University, offering 10 scholarships of €/student. Submission of the Proposal to HANBAN for the establishment in AUTH Confucius Institute together with Shanghai International Studies University of China. Summer School:
