All IEEE-SA standards meetings shall be conducted in compliance with all applicable laws, including antitrust and competition laws.
Don’t discuss the interpretation, validity, or essentiality of patents/patent claims.
Don’t discuss specific license rates, terms, or conditions.
Relative costs, including licensing costs of essential patent claims, of different technical approaches may be discussed in standards development meetings.
Technical considerations remain primary focus
Don’t discuss or engage in the fixing of product prices, allocation of customers, or division of sales markets.
Don’t discuss the status or substance of ongoing or threatened litigation.
Don’t be silent if inappropriate topics are discussed… do formally object.

Approval rate of 64.55% - failing
For the current draft, going to proceed to release w/o Rcvr update
The comments from medical industry were deemed out of order.
Now going to ECC for approval, with 60 day comment window, then will be published.
There is broad agreement, to start the work on the next version.
This requires BPF with a 19dB improvement. They are costly.
The WFA is working on the levels and the affect to the performance, designs and cost.
Next TG11 meeting is 26 September, They will be working on the next version.

Reached agreement on the LBT, and agreed on test procedures.
A new draft of the test procedure is available on line.
Have reviewed 2 of the 3 technical reports on 5 GHz sharing, then they will go to CPG – PTD project team.
Key point - all 3 are far from complete.
Need to be completed by mid-October, for BRAN meeting in Nov.

The re-channelized proposal had a fair amount of support,
as did the detect and vacate also had support.
Key summary, neither was leading the other.
Pace of the FCC is much faster than DOT on this.
It will come down to the testing and the data to support any decision.
For IEEE we will monitor and discuss status in San Diego.

64-71 GHz band: We authorize operations in the GHz band under Part 15 of our rules based on the rules we recently adopted for the adjacent GHz band.

New one, ITU-R WP5D is working on 5GHz sharing criteria by September.
Also, ITU-R WP1A has sent a liaison dealing with “Increasing Levels of RF Noise in the Environment and Consequent Interference to Radiocommunication Services”
