(A) The shdi1 mutant was crossed with wild-type plants (Col-0 and Landsberg erecta), and the F2 progeny were sown on screening media to test the recessiveness of shdi1 phenotype. (B) For mapping, shdi1 was crossed with the Landsberg erecta ecotype. The location of the shdi1 locus was mapped on the basis of shdi1 phenotypes with several SSLP markers.

Hypocotyl length (mm) (A) Col shdi1 Dark (B) Figure S3. The shdi1 mutant showed a shorter hypocotyl than wild-type plants. (A) Seeds of shdi1 and Col-0 were put on 1/2× MS medium and grown in light conditions for 2 weeks. (B) Seeds of shdi1 and Col-0 were put on 1/2× MS medium and grown in dark conditions for 4 days. The asterisks above the columns indicate significant differences in hypocotyl length between shdi1 and Col-0 (P < 0.05).
