1 Problem Solving Choose 1
28 students in Mr. Edwards’ class took a vote to determine which kind of cookie, chocolate chip or peanut butter was better. The ratio of votes for chocolate chip compared to peanut butter was 4:3. How many students voted for chocolate chip cookies as their favorite? Daisy is making a pitcher of mint-chocolate ice-cream shakes to share with her friends. Currently there are 3 scoops of mint ice-cream, and 4 scoops of chocolate ice-cream in the blender. If Daisy adds one more scoop of mint and one more scoop of chocolate ice- cream would that make the shakes more chocolaty, less chocolaty, or the same? (be sure to use math and problem solving to justify your reasoning) October 24-28
