Vs. 1 – We walk with the Lord
When we walk with the Lord Walking means following after Him - 1 John 2:6, Col. 2:6-7 In the light of His word John 14:23 What a glory He sheds on our way Psa. 119:105, 2 Cor. 3:18

Vs. 1 – We walk with the Lord
While we do His good will, He abides with us still – John 8:31 And with ALL who will trust and obey – salvation is available to all 1 Timothy 2:4

Vs. 2 – Trust in shadows and doubt
Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies, but His smile quickly drives it away – pleasing Him Heb. 13:16, 1 Thess. 4:1 Are we living so that God will say, “Well done”? 2 Cor. 5:9 No matter what we deal with we don’t quit - 2 Cor. 4:7-10, Rom. 8:31

Vs. 2 – Trust in shadows and doubt
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear, can abide while we trust and obey Overcome doubt! Cf. Matt. 6:30, 16:8, 14:29-31 – Peter walking on water NOTE: We face challenges – burdens, etc. Gal 5:5, 2; 1 John 5:4 But in him, we can deal with them.

Vs. 3 – Trust in burdens and sorrows
Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share, but our toil He doth richly repay God knows and can bless us Hebrews 6:10, Luke 18: Even in this life

Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross, but is blest if we trust and obey We are to deny our selves and take up our cross - Luke 9:23 God can bless that effort Matt. 6:33, Matt. 11:28-30

Vs. 4 – Proving His love But we never can prove the delights of His love, until all on the altar we lay God DOES love us greatly – Eph. 3:19 while we may never fully understand His love, the more we obey the better we do! Here is the totality of faith – like Abraham – Heb. 11:17 Romans 12:1-2 – we are a living sacrifice

Vs. 4 – Proving His love For the favor He shows, and the joy He bestows, are for those who will trust and obey Favor = grace. Joy is the rejoicing of having received His grace Phil. 4:4 It is found in obedience There are many blessings and privileges found in Him

Vs. 5 – Obedient fellowship
Then in fellowship sweet, we will sit at His feet, or we’ll walk by His side in the way Fellowship with Him – 1 John 1:7, John 14:23 – He is in us Sit at His feet – Luke 10:38-40 Walk by His side – disciples – Luke 6:46, 1 Cor. 11:1

Vs. 5 – Obedient fellowship
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go; No matter the task, we will do what we can. Agreement or understanding not necessary – Matthew 28:19-20 Luke 5:4-5, John 9:6-7, Acts 10:19-20, etc. Never fear, only trust and obey – Hebrews 13:6

Chorus – Trust and obey Trust and obey James 2:14-18 – this is what genuine faith is about! No matter the task, we will do what we can. Agreement or understanding not necessary For there no other way to be happy in Jesus – blessed Matt. 5:3-10, etc. But to trust and obey

How much do you trust Him? Is it enough to obey Him right now?
