What was the Kindertransport?
Darfur in Sudan The Kindertransport When Renie was ten years old she travelled from Germany to Britain. What was the Kindertransport? Travelling without her family was scary, but Renie was very brave. She made this journey, because her parents realised that Germany was not a safe country for Jewish people to live in anymore, and they wanted her to be safe. They were right to do this, and not long after Renie got to Britain, war broke out. Take a guess: How many children do you think were rescued on the Kindertransport programme?
