Tracing a Vector Face From a Reference Photo

2. Outline
Task: Create a digital representation of Your Face using vectors in Microsoft Word
 Date due:
Assessment Criteria includes:
Take a digital photograph of yourself
Insert the photo into Word and send it to the back
The photo and image must fill A4 landscape page
Turn on gridlines (if you need them)
Over top of the photo use vector tools to create a digital image. It should look similar to your digital photo
Two choices
1) using shadow and texture to create a grey scale (or duotone: using only two colors) 3D representation
2) use colours to create the image
Must demonstrate drawing skills of Microsoft Draw:
Group, Rotate, Order, Select,
Auto Shapes, Text box, Lines & Shapes
Format objects using size; fill (fill effects); line color.

3. Making Decisions
Numerous ways to approach using a reference photo to make vectors
One option - 'trace' the photo
Many microscopic details in a photograph therefore must decide how finished will look:
Photorealistic?
More stylized?
Comic book-esque?
Cartoon-like?
All will result in unique look and style of final image
