What We’re Learning:
Reading/Writing This will be our last week of reading nonfiction. We will complete a RAN chart independently. In writing we will complete our first lab journal by writing conclusions. Ask your child to tell you about our first investigation and his/her follow-up ideas.

Math We will complete Topic 12 this week with problem solving involving measurement. We will work on understanding precision and measuring irregularly shaped lines and objects. Ask your child to compare the lengths of two objects at home and estimate the differences between them in inches & cm.
Science/Social Studies
We will have a bit of both content areas this week. We will finish Native Americans by studying the Plains region. Did you know we are caring for & observing larva in science? Have your child tell you the life cycle of a butterfly & ask how the larva have grown.
