2 The package… What is craft beer? And a bit about how its made. Information on micro breweries and micro pubs. It’s importance and impact within the UK. Some facts a figures about beer consumption and the people employed within the brewing and distribution industry. How it differs from the mainstream beers and their brands? (quality, brewing, employment, commercialisation, etc) The issues with craft beer against the big beer corporations Why we need to support craft beer How we can support craft beer

3 The Angle… From the point of view of the consumer
Speaking directly to the listener, asking them questions, ‘Did you know?’ Focusing around the word ‘craft’ (meaning a skill or a skilled trade, making things by hand) Craft beer vs. crafty beer ( big beer corporations)

The Craft Beer Channel on Youtube (Jonny and Brad) – quirky style, clearly beer-geeks and passionate about good craft beer.

15 the Magazine… The theme of SUPPORT
Informing, influencing and promoting support for local craft beers and breweries with the UK Other support topics in the radio magazine show: OCD/Depression, Cancer survivors, The LGBT youth community, Hidden Door art festival, Young carers. The lighthearted topic of Craft Beer and it’s rise against big beer corporations breaks up the more intense stories involved within our magazine package. Craft beer brewing is an art form, which relates with the Hidden Door art festival.
