- “food sacrificed to idols” - ???? - in Nepal at Dasain, what should a Christian do? not eat meat and displease your family? eat meat as if honouring the idol? not go home? In humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others (Philippians )

A strong Christian is someone who knows where they stand: We know that “an idol is nothing at all in the world” and that “There is no God but one”. (v4) ...there is but one God, the Father... and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ (v6) [ “Give me a place to stand and a lever long enough, and I will move the world” - Archimedes ]

A weak Christian: ...lovers of themselves... lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God - having a form of godliness but denying its power... weak-willed... swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth (2 Timothy )

...knowledge puffs up, while love builds up. (verse 1) Strong Weak God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things - and the things that are not - to nullify the things that are, so that no-one may boast before him. (1 Corinthians ) Godly
