Management Technical Committee T.C. Activity Summary - January 2015 to July 2016 Recent Conference Performance Accomplishments Not Applicable Organized 3 meetings in 2015/16 with large participation from the committee members. Supported presentation from students, post docs, and young professionals Conferred the 2016 Hap Arnold Award for Excellence in Aeronautical Program Management Recipients Updated TCM roster Accepted 4 new TC regular members. Supported the review of the AIAA Fellows Process Issues / Help Needed Determine new methods to engage TC members with travel restrictions Increase the representation of Gen Y and Gen Z young entrepreneurs in the TCM forum. Initiatives & Plans Recruit minorities, women, international and academia members to balance representation Reach out to small business and start-ups to invite young entrepreneurs to the TCM forum. Financial Status and Other Activities Not applicable. The TCM does not a financial report because it does not have any independent funds.

4 Forum Participation TCM participates in SciTech, Defense, Aviation and Aeronautics, Propulsion and Energy, and Space and Astronautics Forums. Top 3 successes form TCM Forum Special session regarding the integration and promotion of minorities in the aerospace workforce Special session regarding challenges associated with dealing with small, non-traditional companies as a DoD contractor. Tour of Langley AFB facility, home of the F-22 Raptor Demo Team Top 3 disappointments from TCM Forum Representation of minorities in the TCM forum is below the average of the aerospace sector No international participation to the TCM How can we improve the Forums? Emphasize interaction with students and young professionals Invite presentations from companies not in the aerospace field. What aerospace management can learn from the challenges of companies in the bio, electronics, cyber, and energy fields.
