Marvel was founded in 1939
It was founded by Martin Goodman
Back then it was called Timely Comics
The first characters were The Original Human Torch and The Sub-Mariner
The first issue was simply called Marvel Comics #1
Over 900,000 copies were sold
Stan Lee was one of the first Marvel writers and is still alive today

3. Most Popular Issue Amazing Fantasy #15 Released in August of 1962
This is where Spider-Man was first introduced
The issue today sells for over 1 million dollars
It is one of the largest selling comics to date

4. The 2000’s There are a lot of big events from the 2000’s
Some were Secret Invasion, Annihilation and Civil War
My personal favorite was Civil War
Civil War even went as far as to kill Captain America
He ended up coming back a few years later

Marvel has made over 40 movies based on the comics
Lots have been some of the highest grossing movies of all time
Marvel also has multiple action figure lines
Marvel has multiple tv shows as well
Many animated adaptations have also been made

8. Marvel Comics Today Today Marvel comics are still going strong
There are too many titles to count
New heroes and villains are still being created
Marvel movies are making more money than ever
Marvel has become one of the most successful companies of all time

9. Marvel’s Impact on Me Marvel helped me through my anxiety
It gave me happiness when I was sad
It helped me get my mind off of things
Marvel made me a more confident person
It still does all of these things to this day
