1 How are “HP Managed Printers and MFPs” different?
Tuned to provide lower operating costs with fewer interventions Lower Total Cost of Ownership due to proprietary technologies which allow for a lower cost per page in predictable, managed environments HP Managed Printers offer higher recommended monthly use (RMPV) In managed environments, HP technology delivers more pages Technical breakthroughs enable additional printing efficiency in predictable print environments Intelligence to extend the life of the cartridge and printer components based on actual usage Print output enhanced at the sub pixel level HP Managed Printers are well positioned for new contractual business and refreshing printer fleets HP Managed Printers are different products than the similar HP Enterprise Printers and should not be substituted in the middle of deployment. Customers may notice differences in output and behavior when comparing side by side. Put them to the test against the competition! Demo units and print samples available now Take advantage of regional Demo Rebate Programs to acquire and test the new Managed Printers Sample output from the HP Managed Printers and MFPs is available through your HP representative HP Managed Printers are designed specifically to be a cost effective option in the MPS space Talk Track: Why managed products? HP developed the Managed products for the unique challenges in the MPS business. These products look similar to our Enterprise products and use the same toner cartridge. However, the entire printing system (Original HP toner, HP Imaging ASIC, HP formatter and printer), enabled by HP JetAdvantage Management, has been fine-tuned to provide MPS customers with increased yield, duty cycle, and RMPV. Yield Increases With HP JetAdvantage Management, HP can use our deep understanding of the system and our proprietary technology to enable higher yields. This technology works at a laser modulation level varying the laser power on a sub pixel basis to provide a superior experience (higher yields and HP reliability) while maintaining image quality. HP has also developed new technology to measure cartridge usage and physical components to manage and extend the life of the cartridge. As a result, when the same cartridge is used in one of these optimized devices, the cartridge will have a higher stated ISO yield. Print Quality Vs Competition In blind testing, the HP Managed products have demonstrated very competitive image quality versus the competition for the MPS space. Additional 3rd Party comparison results will be available soon Enterprise Vs Managed HP does not test image quality against our own product, especially when the products are targeted for different markets. HP recommends that HP Managed Printers be deployed in new contractual environments or when customers refresh their fleet. HP has developed each of these product families in separate design centers – the HP Enterprise products have always been designed with image quality as the key deliverable and the HP Managed products have been designed for efficiency and price competitiveness in managed environments Additional information for HP Employees can be found in the drawer statement available at HP internal and partner use only - Not to be left behind with customers HP internal and partner use only - Not to be left behind with customers
