13 areas with practical plantations a total of 1100 wax treated seedlings (no control seedlings)
4 field test areas with 150 seedlings of each treatment (Wax, Control, Merit Forests) at each site (a total of 600 seedlings per treatment, 1800 seedlings in total)
Good performance of wax treated seedlings in practical plantations –low mortality caused by pine weevil feeding (4%)
Good protection in field test –lower mortality of wax treated seedlings caused by pine weevil feeding (1.3%) compare to control seedlings (29%)
