The law in Member States is very diverse, the lack of exclusion of the transport sector from the objectives of the European Commission will lead to extreme administrative burden on transport companies, which by their nature operate in several EU markets at the same time.
The market for road transport is highly dispersed, micro enterprises consitute over 80% of all companies in the sector (largely self-employed and employing members of their families) - additional administrative burden and control duties are infesible for them.
Pay gaps in the EU are nor dumping, violation of the law, but a natural consequence of the differences in the economic development of EU countries. These differences should be mitigated simultaneously with the processes of modernization - which improve productivity - and should not be enforced.

Transport market in Europe is a market of the worker. The severe shortage of workers in the transport industry (for every 100 drivers in Europe there is a lack of 4 drivers on average) means that wages grow steadily and working conditions improve. Drivers can very quickly change the employer and often do so.
Aligning wages through enforcing regulations, always constitutes a risk of giving rise to market ills, including the elimination of smaller players from the market and expanding the informal economy.
Transport, and the industries related to it, are one of the key employers in Europe, with 1 in 20 jobs being related to transport - a problem faced by employers due to inadequate law is therefore a European problem.

The Mobility Package, which aims to improve working conditions and salary for drivers, will lead to job losses for employees who should be protected by these regulations
