make pupils feel respected and valued involvement encourage sharing, input and dialogue teach pupils to give feedback on information they get create and reward open dialogue if you want your pupils to engage, make sure you as teacher to it first tell your pupils to share, comment, give feedback and answer show and provide value to pupils excite them about the cause of sharing information customize learners journey help students build trust, pride and fellowship develop high degrees of credibility in everything that you teach encourage partnering and community building follow a good feedback and appraisal system give clear goals maintain mentor-mentee relationship take notice of each and every individual say “thank you” even a smile can make a difference share your experience and knowledge be honest and trustworthy create a blame-free culture make learning fun
