In addition, I know this is a primary source because the text states that a primary source is something that can be used for research. This pie chart is a direct piece of evidence that shows student performance and could be used by teachers to make instructional decisions.

This poster is a secondary source because it is a poster that was created by students who were critiquing a writing sample. It includes generalizations such as “Handwriting is very neat and proper” and also includes ways to improve the writing sample.

Another reason I know that this is a primary source is because my mother took the picture and the text states that a primary source is “created by witnesses...who experienced the events...being documented”.
