5. COMPETITION to meet President Barack Obama result
Dear Pupils Let me offer my heartfelt thanks for entering into this competition to win a table at the President Obama dinner. To be honest all the entries were outstanding, inspirational and insightful; truly showing how Scotland’s young people have a strong and powerful voice that needs to be heard for the future of our country. Sadly there could only ever be one true winner, though in our eyes every entry merited a star. Hyndland Secondary School produced the winning work. As a Foundation we have been truly struck by the quality and consistent messages of the entries to this competition and we are now considering ways in which we can publish all entries to enable those exceptional voices to be heard. We will be in touch once we have concluded those considerations. In the meantime please thank everyone involved from your school for their exceptional efforts. Thanks so much! The ATR Bus will change to Abbot Travel as from Monday 29th May. All ATR bus passes are valid on the Abbot Bus. There will be no change to the bus route this will continue as normal.

10. IMPORTANT All STUDENT LOCKERS
If you have a school locker including a music locker please make sure it is cleared out and the key returned to the school office no later than Friday 16th June. Any items left in the lockers and unclaimed will be disposed of on 29th June.
We must do this to update data held and for general maintenance of lockers.
There can be no exceptions to this.

11. Fundraising ‘Dress Down’ Friday 26 May 2017
Students who wish to participate in the Fundraising ‘Dress Down’ Friday 26 May are asked to pay £1 to come to school casually dressed.  Students who do not wish to participate should come to school wearing school uniform.  Monies collected will be split –
Two thirds donated to charity whilst the remaining one third will go to the School Fund.
This is a normal Learning and Teaching day, please remember to bring your school bag and all equipment eg PE kit.
