2 What name do you call these creatures?
In some parts of North America they are called Sand Sharks. In South Africa they are called Ragged-tooth Sharks. In Australia they are called Grey Nurse Sharks. The scientific name for these creatures is Odontaspis taurus

3 What do sand tiger sharks look like?
These creatures are the color of the ocean floor to hide from predators. They have teeth going in every direction to catch prey easier. They can be 6 foot 6 inches to 10 feet long!

4 Do sand tiger sharks have strange behaviors?
These creatures are the only sharks seen gulping air. They will swim into a school of fish and catch as many fish as they can. For some reason they will only attack people in Australia.

5 Where do sand tiger sharks live?
They live in the Atlantic Ocean. They also live in the Pacific Ocean. To migrate they go the Mediterranean Sea. In the summer they go to the Northeast Region of the U.S.

6 How are sand tiger sharks born?
The shark eggs will stay in the moms’ body from 9 to 12 months. There are a lot of eggs in the moms’ body, but only two hatch. While they hatch, they will eat out of a yolk sac. The two babies who hatch will eat the other eggs in the mom.
