As you learned from last lesson, the four zones of Rio de Janeiro are very different from one another. Their contrasting features is very easy to see because of how close together they are.
We could say that there are many inequalities in Rio.
Inequalities: Differences between poverty and wealth, as well as wellbeing and access to jobs, housing, education, etc…
Using your map of the zones of Rio from last lesson and the information on your sheet, complete one of the following activities:
Good: Describe what a wealthy zone of Rio is like. Describe what a poor zone of Rio is like.
Better: Explain which two zones display the fact that there are inequalities in Rio the most effectively.
Best: Explain what you think needs to be done to make the zones of Rio more equal.
