1 CJK NGN test-bed study Phase III&IV
Test-bed Ad-hoc Group

2 Study phases on the CJK test-bed
Phase I: rd/4th Quarter (Completed) Network Connectivity Scenario 2 and 4 only (2 CS and 2 domains) Phase II: st/2nd Quarter (Completed) Scenario 1, 3 (simpler version of 2 and 4, single domain) and 5 The Phases I & II have attained their original objectives for testing planned. We have decided to revise the scenarios of the phases III & IV as follows and to pursue them as the high-priority study among CJK considering the current NGN requirements. CJK NGN Test-bed Phase III: st/2nd Quarter Performance Evaluation of RTP/RTCP-based MoIP (Multimedia Voice/Audio/ Video) over IP) service Network connective for Performance evaluation and Performance Monitoring Scenarios 6-1 and 6-2 Phase IV: rd ~ nd Quarter Performance Evaluation of RTP/RTCP-based MoIP and IPTV services Performance Monitoring Scenarios 6-3 and 6-4 Initial RACF Interoperability testing : Scenario 7 Testing of RACF and RTP/RTCP-based MPM Interactions IPTV Interoperability testing

3 Test Scenario 6,7 in Phase III & IV
Performance Evaluation with RTP/RTCP-based Measurement extensions and initial RACF interoperability testing. Scenario 6-1: Performance evaluation of Network Segments MoIP (Multimedia (Voice/Audio/Video) over IP) service based on CS and/or IMS Scenario 6-2: Performance evaluation of MoIP service among CPEs Local testing of MPM (Provided by KDDI R&D Labs.) CPE-to-CPE performance evaluation Scenario 6-3: Performance evaluation of MoIP service with two MPMs CPE – MPM1 – MPM2 – CPE performance evaluation Scenario 6-4: Performance evaluation of MoIP service with three MPMs CPE – MPM1 – MPM2 – MPM3 – CPE performance evaluation Scenario 7: Testing of RACF and RTP/RTCP-based MPM Interactions Note: Development of the ATCA (SBC of OKI Electric Industry) based MPM is planned.

9 Schedule

10 Discussions and Results
IP connectivity Routing equipment, IP addressing, Operation, etc. ●Commercial networks, C-J and K-J networks, have the flexibility in the policy of IP addressing. The IP addressing will be decided considering the routing functions of the existing IP network (R&D network) between China and Korea Services Testing priority of Voice, Video, Audio (RTP streams) ●Voice  Video Types and specifications (wide/narrow-band etc.) of CODECs should be discussed Target dates of Scenario 6-1,6-2,6-3,6-4 and 7 C-J , K-J, C-K testing ●Scenario 6-1 and Scenarios 6-2: July 2008 (13th NGN-WG) Scenario 6-1 and 6-2 Testing procedures, Drafting of the checking sheet, instauration of MPM (importation) ●Discussion will be made using reflector and teleconferencing by the end of May 2008. Specifications of Call servers (C and K) ●Specifications will be provided by C and K by end of April. Reporting Rotating the role among CJK ●The reports will be created at the CJK NGN-WG meeting (Lead author will be a person from the hosting SDO).
