Understanding Chronology 6.1 Events can be arranged in order of occurrence using conventions of B.C. and A.D/ B.C.E and C.E

All timelines must include:
Title (to identify the topic)
Events (chronological order from left to right)
Periods of time (varies with each timeline)
Passage of time (B.C. or A.D./ B.C.E. or C.E.)

2. Periods of Time Week = 7 days Month = 4 weeks
The birth of Jesus Christ is accepted as YEAR ZERO on timelines
B.C. = Before Christ – comes before YEAR ZERO
A.D. = “After Death” Anno Domini (Latin) “in the year of our Lord” comes after YEAR ZERO
B.C.E. = Before Common Era
C.E. = Common Era
Periods of Time
Week = 7 days
Month = 4 weeks
Year = 365 days = 12 months
Decade = 10 years (think DECA. . .)
Century = 100 years (think CENT. . .)
Millennium = 1,000 years (think MILLI. . .)

3. About timelines Timelines show chronological order of events
Space = time on a timeline
Arrows at either end of a timeline indicate time continues before and after the actual events and dates shown
Timelines can be divided by years, decades, centuries, etc. or by actual frames of time, days of week, months, etc.
