1 Welcome to the UK HEP Forum on Heavy Flavour Physics
Cosener’s House, Abingdon-on-Thames 21-22 June, 2007 Welcome to the UK HEP Forum on Heavy Flavour Physics Stefania Ricciardi, RAL

2 Stefania Ricciardi, RAL
Aims Discuss the current status and prospects for Heavy Flavour physics: Explore the connection between measurements in flavour sector and physics beyond the Standard Model in the light of the most recent experimental results and theoretical developments. Carry on the debate on the future flavour physics programme and the strategy for the UK participation in future dedicated experiments and facilities Focus on physics and in particular B physics, but also include charm, kaons and heavy leptons (mainly LFV in t decays) Stefania Ricciardi, RAL

3 Discussion sessions Links between direct NP signal at ATLAS/CMS and indirect signals in the flavour sector Benchmarks and Tools code used/to be developed to calculate patterns of NP effects on flavour observables, correlations between low-energy and high-energy observables UK Heavy Flavour strategy …and plenty of opportunities for more informal discussions Stefania Ricciardi, RAL
