Scenarios: Josephine started work immediately after high school. She earns $32,000 per year which she thinks is really good. Joe spent four years in college and three years in law school. After seven years of additional education, he earns $90,220 per year. In those seven years, Josephine earned $224,000. It will only take two and a half years for Joe to earn more than this amount. Thirty years after high school graduation, Josephine will have worked 30 years and earned $960,000. However, Joe will have worked 23 years and earned $2,075,060. Follow the steps below to calculate the percent increase in wages from 2013 to 2015 for an individual with a professional degree.
