3. TASK SUMMARY:
You are working for the marketing division in the Department of Tourism in India.
You have been asked to create a tourist brochure on one major Hindu festival in India.
This is individual work, not a group task.

4. PART A: INFORMATION ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
In your brochure include the following the following:
Location Where the Festival occurs, or the cities where the celebrations are most elaborate.
Date: When does the festival occur (specific dates) and does this vary each year.
Dress: What do people wear and why?
Food: Is there any specific food or drink that is consumed during the festival?
Actions: What do people do during the festival??
Purpose: Explain the purpose of the festival.
History: Briefly outline the history of the festival.
National Holidays: Is this festival a national holiday in India??

5. Part B: Climate information
Describe the climatic conditions in the city where the festival occurs.
Comment on precipitation (rainfall), day and night-time temperatures.
Include a rainfall chart/ temperature chart/diagram covering each month of the year.
Advise travelers on the type of clothing they should bring during the festival

6. PART C: photos
Include a range of photos in the brochure depicting different events/scenes associated with the festival.

7. Bibliography/reference list
A full bibliography / reference list is expected on the last page of the brochure, with a minimum of 5 different resources.
Its should be MLA in format and comply with all conventions.
