6 Program -- Challenges Meeting User Needs Outreach Marketing/Publicity
The Library serves a very large, constantly changing student population with diverse learning styles and needs. Outreach The success of the Library program is dependent on a strong working relationship with classroom faculty. Marketing/Publicity Facilities With great use, come great challenges. Change Keeping up with the pace of change in academic libraries is an ongoing challenge which affects staffing, resources, and technology.

7 Planning Implications
Instructional Service Modes  Continually evaluate the effectiveness of our instructional service modes. Explore innovative technologies and instructional models that can be used to provide instruction and research assistance to students. Resources  Continually review and update library resources to ensure they meet the needs of students. Outreach/Marketing  Communicate the value, utility, and importance of library services and information literacy to faculty, students, administration and staff. Facilities Provide a safe, clean, well-equipped library facility that supports independent and collaborative research and study. Change  Work collaboratively with staff and administration to develop plans for allocating resources and establishing staffing models that best meet the needs of students and the library program.

8 Resource Allocations Additional classified staff to assist with public services. Staffing, resources, and policies to ensure safety and security in the building. Stable library materials funding formula across the district.
