1 Training and Support for Estates Personnel
What skills do we need? The meat of the day First session – a bit of scene setting, an overview of what is understood about the term corporate landlord. Often hear it bandied about, but it is clear that different people mean different things by it. So want to explore a bit about the principles, what the purpose and aim of the approach is, and start to get you thinking about how your organisation operates now, and how you think a corporate landlord approach could work in your organisation. Will all have slightly different structures, ways of working, organisational cultures, different political relationships, different relationships with services etc. All of these issues will have an impact on how effectively you can introduce and embed a corporate landlord approach, and you need to recognise what challenges lie ahead to enable you to overcome them. It is important to really understand what you are trying to achieve as well as what the issues are that you are trying to address.
