Mathematics can be divided to two categories

Pure mathematics Pure mathematics is also called base mathematics that specially studies the internal rule of mathematics itself. Algebra, geometry, calculus and probability introduced in books for primary and high school students are all part of pure mathematics. One distinct feature of pure mathematics is to study the numerical relationship and special format of the object in its pure format without the practical content.

Applied mathematics Applied mathematics is a huge system. One says that applied mathematics is the part of our whole knowledge that can be expressed by the mathematical language. Applied mathematics focuses on explaining natural phenomena and solving practical problem, and it is the bridge between pure mathematics and scientific technology. Today is information society. The information thesis, which studies information specially, is an important embranchment in applied mathematics.

MATHEMATICS Math is all around the young child from day one. How old are you? In one hour you will go to school. You were born on the 2nd day of March…Mathematics is used from the first day to the last and after last day it continues to be used on gravestone.

Mathematics: Everywhere & Everyday
Mathematics expresses itself everywhere, in almost every face of life - in nature all around us, and in the technologies in our hands. Mathematics is the language of science and engineering - describing our understanding of all that we observe.

To represent data sets

In Nature 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, This is the Fibonacci Sequence, where each number is derived from adding the previous two numbers. This sequence of numbers can be found in many natural patterns like in pineapples, sunflowers, nautilus and pine cones. Our eyes are usually drawn to objects that are symmetrical. Leonardo Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man is often used as a representation of symmetry in the human body.

In Shapes, Curves & Patterns
Circles, squares and triangles are just a few of the shapes that are familiar to us through our daily lives. How we can find the values of area, volume and perimeter of regions or figures in our daily life without mathematics.

In Games & Puzzles Many, if not all puzzles and games require mathematical logic and deduction. This section uses the fun and excitement of various popular games and puzzles, and the exhilaration of solving them, to attract and engage the visitors to realise the mathematics in fun and games.

In Time & The Heavens Mathematics was developed to understand the cycles of nature as observed in the seasons. Ancient people understood the need to define time in relation to celestial movements for agricultural, astronomical.

In Real Applications Mathematic is used in our everyday lives; from figuring out the amount needed to buy your lunch to calculating the bank’s interest. For example, internet banking is getting more and more common these days, and we depend on cryptology – the study of protecting information using codes – to keep our transactions safe.
