3 Some of What We Do Benefits to You Standards/Events
Engage Clinicians and Professional Societies in the Standardization of Semantic Content, Definitions and Variables (Fields) Clinician engagement helps to improve quality use of EHR data for clinical research, registry and public health reporting. Reduces ETL and mapping time from Data Warehouse CIIC meeting in July –Data Element Harmonization Effort Therapeutic Area DAMs Standards Cardiology, Mental Health, Anesthesia Standardize Data for FDA Improve Clinical Trial Review process Therapeutic Area Clinical DAMs Improve the Usability of EHR Systems Increase clinician satisfaction, reduce medical errors, missing data or invalid data EHR Usability Standard and Paper Identify & Develop Standards for Registries Reduce burden of submitting data from Clinical setting to a Registry Common Clinical Registry Framework Explain here how CIC works with other clinical groups to develop semantic standards. PEW - Registry Report CIIC – Harmonization of Data Element Efforts

4 Those who work with submitting data to Registries.
What We Need From You Why Those who work with submitting data to Registries. Those who have registries. Identify what is not captured in EHR Challenges in data extraction and submission to Registries, feedback on Use Cases How to integrate these clinical standards in the organization (cardiology, mental health, anesthesiology…) To facilitate easier data aggregation and sharing across organizations. Review on Exercise Physiology Standards Need to understand the data that is shared with other clinicians. What is captured in the EHR Feedback on EHR Usability Guidelines To understand if these guidelines will improve use of EHR and other Clinical system design This slide is to ask for the type of contribution needed. Feedback on data exchange challenges, review of use cases, what exercise data elements are capture or will be useful in the EHR
