EDEL 445 – Intermediate Literacy Methods
ET 340 – Integration of Technology
EDFE 120 – Checkpoint and Request for Practicum Placement
EDEL 457 – Social Studies/Literacy Practicum - two full days (TR) in an elementary school with an elementary teacher (mentor)

6. Mathematics/Science Practicum Course Information

8. EDFE 120 Registration
Semester prior to the Literacy Practicum EDEL 445/446
Select the section that lists Dr. Charles Warren as the Instructor
REMEMBER to complete the Request for Placement Survey (resume, cooperating teacher letter)
Completed or currently enrolled in EDEL 350
Please register for EDFE 120 even if you do not presently have the required GPA (3.0), but anticipate you might

9. EDFE 130 Registration Registration for EDFE 130:
Semester prior to Student Teaching
Register for the section that lists Jingzi Huang
and Lynette Kerrigan as the instructors
Attend one mandatory meeting
Please register for EDFE 130 even if you do not presently have the
required GPA (3.0) please register for this course

10. Grade Replacement Complete form prior to semester’s drop deadline

11. PRAXIS TESTING Register for the PRAXIS Test
Licensure accepted in 43 states and Guam
Select the correct test
Approximate cost $180
Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects
Must select Colorado as the state, to avoid registering for the wrong test
Select a test location – several in Northern Colorado
Computer delivered test

12. PRAXIS SCORES
The deadline to submit passing score for Spring student teaching is September 10th,
for Fall student teaching it is February 10th
Print your PRAXIS scores immediately
Score availability expires
Make several copies
Or documentation from CDE
Student teaching placement requires proof of a passing PRAXIS II score

Important Information!!
If you plan to take a class in summer 2018 to complete coursework prior to student teaching (EDEL 454) please note:
Students planning to student teach fall 2018 will not be permitted to register for student teaching (EDEL 454) until grades are submitted for any summer classes!

15. How to Get Your PIN
Attend your individual 15-min. Advising/Unofficial Grad Check appointment
Look at your status on Degree Works prior to your appointment
Take ELED Advising survey after your appointment
Write down PIN
Register on designated date (check on URSA – based on the number of earned hours)

16. Interim Registration
Registration for Interim begins October 2nd
No PIN required
If applicable please check with Financial Aid regarding funding for Interim classes
