1 Communion The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread,  and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes…. (1 Corinthians 11:23-25)

2 Samson – the Weak Superhero Part 2
The woman gave birth to a boy and named him Samson. He grew and the LORD blessed him, and the Spirit of the LORD began to stir him while he was in Mahaneh Dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol… (Judges 13:24-25) The Spoilt Brat

3 Samson – the Weak Superhero Part 2
…he said to his father and mother, “I have seen a Philistine woman in Timnah; now get her for me as my wife.…” (Judges 14:2) …Get her for me. She’s the right one for me.… “ (Judges 14:3) (His parents did not know that this was from the LORD, who was seeking an occasion to confront the Philistines; for at that time they were ruling over Israel.)

4 Samson – the Weak Superhero Part 2
There are no strong people after all…we are all related to Samson…we are all fellow members of Adam’s fallen race…that’s us!...the Adam’s family… (Jeff Lucas - There are No Strong People…)

5 Samson – the Weak Superhero Part 2
“Out of the eater, something to eat; out of the strong, something sweet.”… (Judges 14:14) The Riddler Meets His Match

6 Samson – the Weak Superhero Part 2
Then Samson’s wife threw herself on him, sobbing, “You hate me! You don’t really love me. You’ve given my people a riddle, but you haven’t told me the answer….” (Judges 14:16)

7 Samson – the Weak Superhero Part 2
“What is sweeter than honey? What is stronger than a lion?”… (Judges 14:18) One scholar has argued that a more subtle answer to the two questions and an implied solution to the larger riddle of the Samson story itself is the answer “love”. Love is both incredibly sweet for both Samosn and his women, but more significantly for God and the people of Israel. God’s powerful and sweet love cannot let Israel go, no matter how disobedient they are…(Dennis T. Olsten…New Interpreter’s Bible Commentary)

8 Samson – the Weak Superhero Part 2
Conclusion: Love Is - We can get what we want? - Or what God wants?
