12. Install server Run “Fbs4Inst.exe” and choose server: No Reboot needed
After click on next, install will roll-out.
After completed, connection to the Ferro server console can be made:
- On the server by use ‘console’ in windows menu
- By the web interface by use the fileserver URL

14. Setup Ferro Backup Server with pre-configured Ferro Database file
If you ever have a Ferro database (from an other installation or for restore a ferro server) :
- Connect to the file server
- Stop FBSServer services
- Replace the Software database by the new FBSDataBase

21. FBSWorker ini file .
Setup the FBSWorker.ini (available on FTP- KB ): replace the server name by your own server

22. Deploy FBSWorker.ini - Automatic deployment:
Create a GPO for deploy FBSWorker.ini (KB )
- Manual deployment:
Copy this file to “C:\Program Files (x86)\FERRO Software\Ferro Backup System”. Restart the service/the laptop.

23. Deploy Ferro Worker by SCCM.
- Inform the user about backup policy
- Connect on SCCM
- Add the laptops to the Ferro collection and deploy it

In Backup -> Workstation & Tasks, click on “Add”: you can add all laptops or just the selected items
By default, a laptop is just add and wait backup policy setup. Multiple policy can be set by using multi-edit option

On the ‘Workstations & Tasks’ tabs, verify the instant backup status:
No backup error, 2 backup delayed (laptops offline) and 1 laptops offline but last backup ok.
You know what is your current status.

On the Reports ‘Task Summary’ tabs, verify the backup status for a period:
Backup Not OK Errors but Last backup Ok Backup Ok
