It shows how their parents teach them how to be proud of the people they are; helping them embrace each of their cultures. Activity: Have the students create a collage of their faces displaying their different heritage. What makes this book multicultural? This book is multicultural because it shows children of mixed races and how they celebrate their mixed heritage. It shows how they embrace each of their parents culture and background. It also shows how they embrace and celebrate their differences.

It’s about her adjusting to her new life in America. Activity: Put names in a jar have the children pull a name out of the jar and research the meaning of that name. What makes this book multicultural? This book is multicultural because it shows how a little girl is adjusting to a new culture and a new land after leaving her native land of Korea.

This book is multicultural because it shows that our family tree can consists of many cultures and races. It shows how we should embrace other cultures because they could be a part of our family heritage.

Activity: The students can do self portraits and share them with the class and share how their differences are unique. What makes this book multicultural? This book is multicultural because it shows how parents can explain to their children why being different isn’t bad. It shows how children should embrace their skin color and be proud of their skin color.

Activity: Have students bring in dishes created by their parents from a Hispanic country. What makes this book multicultural? This books is multicultural because it shows how people can connect through foods from a different country. It gives students the opportunity to be exposed to different cultures through food.

What makes this book multicultural? This is a multicultural book because it shows how a child is exposed to different cultures and races through traveling to different countries with his parents.

It shows how Americans can get immersed in a different country through the business world.

It focuses on how he helps them believe that they can achieve anything they set their minds to achieve. Activity: Have student create a list of their ideal job and bring in professional into the class to show them what they need to do to obtain those careers. What makes this book multicultural? This book is multicultural because it focuses on children and how they are encouraged regardless of race and gender how they can have any career they choose.
