4. Possible negative Psychosocial Symptoms
The donated organ may not function in the recipient after it is transplanted.
The transplant recipient may have medical problems from the surgery                      
Scarring or other aspects of the donation process could contribute to problems with body image.                      

5. Possible negative Psychosocial Symptoms
Donor may have feelings of regret, resentment, or anger.
Donor may have symptoms of anxiety or depression.
Treatment for these conditions can be lengthy and costly and could include the use of medications with risks and side effects.  

6. Positive Outcomes Donor could “save” the recipients life
Joy, pride, self-satisfaction
Donor story could educate others about the desperate need for more organs
Donor could also educate others about the liver donation process – it’s not only kidney donation!!!
