On Election Day 1st graders held our own mock election where each student had a chance to vote on a ballot for their favorite cookie. The favorite cookie was M&M and all students will get an M&M cookie! On Veteran’s Day we talked about Heroes and how a Veteran can be a hero. Do you know that turkeys live in all US states but Alaska?! We read a non-fiction book All About Turkey and answered questions by playing Turkey Jepordy!
