Culture is the learned behavior of members of a given social group.
It provides useful guidelines for behavior. For example: In Arab countries when greeting; men do not think “should I kiss her?” . No!!!. Culture provides information that helps us make meaningful distinctions about wright and wrong, good and bad, attractive and unattractive,……

Creation and maintenance of a more or less common culture occurs through communication, including mass communication, communicating with friends, parents, religious leaders, teachers, politicians…. . .

Culture can divide us but also can unite us!!!!
The dominant culture or (mainstream) is that one seems to hold by the majority of people. Culture can divide us but also can unite us!!!! All the citizens of one country (usually) of all colors, genders, intelligence and religion can communicate and respect each other.

The role of mass communication in transferring and uniting the culture:
Mass communication can be a cultural storytellers. This means it can emphasize values and beliefs reside in the stories it tells. Then we use these stories not only to be entertained but to learn about the world around us, to understand the values, the way things work.

Mass communication as cultural forum.
Mass media can debate about our culture. The most powerful voices in the forum have the most power to shape our definitions and understandings.
