1 Short Form Athletics Competition QuadKids Spreadsheets

2 Scoring Spreadsheets Available from the QuadKids website
You need to register to download the spreadsheets Results can be uploaded to website

3 Getting started Prepare before the competition. Not the night before.
Always download the latest spreadsheet before a competition. Get athlete declarations ahead of competition Read the spreadsheet notes! Practice using the spreadsheet ahead of the day if you haven’t used the spreadsheet before!

4 Configuring the spreadsheet
Take time to configure the spreadsheet Event name: Don’t just put “QuadKids”… we know that!!! Select the appropriate “Competition Type” for your competition “Secure Names” hides the surnames on the main sheets for child protection. If you press the “Configure” button and nothing happens don’t panic…the spreadsheet will still work.

5 Declarations Get done before the day
We need the gender of the athlete otherwise the spreadsheet will ignore the scores of that athlete Date of birth is not essential but helps us identify the athlete. Athlete numbers are any numerical number

6 Setting up Teams Go to the “Athletes” sheet
Enter the numbers of the athletes in a team Names automatically populated Team name comes from the athlete at the top of the list Up to 50 teams support Athlete scores / rankings are automatically populated here

7 Entering Data Enter the athletes number and the athlete name is populated automatically. Enter the performance data and the points are calculated automatically. Duplicate count: 1 is normal. If the athlete has a number of performances entered then this number indicates how many entries! The checkpoint indicates an abnormal score. If you see “* PLEASE CHECK*” then the performance data should be rechecked.

8 Entering Data - Sprint The sprint data is entered as SECONDS.TENTHS
There is no point recording hundredths of seconds as the points scoring is not this granular. Don’t put an ‘S’ in to indicate seconds as this will cause an error.

9 Entering Data - Jump Data entered as Metres
Please note the “PLEASE CHECK” for jumps that are only scoring 10 points.

10 Entering Data - Run Data entered as a ‘decimal’ notation of minutes and seconds DO NOT use the standard excel time format mm:ss.s Do not insert ‘m’ for minutes or ‘s’ for seconds

11 Entering Data - Throw Data is in Metres

12 Athlete’s Scores
