6 Resources UNYTE has also developed a custom NIH RePORTER Database of NIH funded grants and contracts awarded to UNYTE institutions. The Research Project Database is an on-line, searchable inventory of research projects at UNYTE institutions. The information may help users find collaborators or mentors across UNYTE with the database search tools.

7 UNYTE Scientific Sessions
Purpose: To bring together researchers, clinical leaders, and data scientists from across UNYTE institutions to spark interdisciplinary collaborations in practice-based research, clinical innovation, patient engagement, and research recruitment. We will explore what research brings to the clinical enterprise, what clinical insights bring to research, and the power of the partnerships to inspire and focus health research for maximum impact. 8 UNYTE Funding Opportunities
CTSI Pilot Studies Program – UNYTE Category The UNYTE award category is intended to stimulate new interinstitutional collaborations in health research. Investigators are encouraged to develop an innovative, team-based approach to a problem in health research that reflects the particular strengths of the members and their institutions. I Past awardees Bernstein, Steven Determining the interplay of Lymphoma Cells with its Microenvironment Using a Novel in Vivo Model University at Buffalo Chandra, Ankur Regional Ultrasound Wall Strain Measurements to Predict Risk of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) rupture Rochester Institute of Technology Noyes, Ekaterina Validity of Self-Reported Data for Studying Cognitive Problems and Depression Burack, Richard Regional stat tumor procurement to support studies of lymphoma SUNY Upstate, Albany Medical College Sparks, Janet Protein kinase C activation and inhibition of VLDL triglyceride export defines a mechanism for development of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease Bassett Research Institute Wismueller, Axel W.E. 9 UNYTE Funding Opportunities (cont.)
NCATS R21 program (PAR ) Limited Competition: Exploratory CTSA Collaborative Innovation  Awards Applications must involve investigators from at least 2 active CTSA institutions. Purpose is to “support highly innovative, exploratory, collaborative research projects in the NCATS’ Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) program, with the goal of assessing utility and feasibility of proposed innovation(s).” Investigators may request a project period of up to two years. The combined budget for direct costs for the two year project period may not exceed $275,000. No more than $200,000 may be requested in any single year.

10 UNYTE/PBRN Nexus We coordinate with two other UNYTE Partners’ Practice-Based Research Networks SALT-NET at SUNY Upstate Medical UNYNET at SUNY University at Buffalo
