1. Magyarország The Hungarian Republic
Hungary is a small country ,situated in the Carpathian Basin in heart of Europe. The area of the country is about square kilometres.

Our firts king Stephen was crowned in During his reign the Hungarian people settled finally and it took decades till they were converted to Christianity.

2. Budapest
The capital-city of Hungary is Budapest. It is situated on both sides of the Danube river. This situation is admired both by natives and foreigners.
Compared to a number of capitals anywhere in the world , Budapest nicknamed the „Pearl of the Danube” and especially the hills are surrounding the city of extreme beauty because its wonderful view and „avenue” in Pest the UNESCO assigned the city to a World – Heritage grade.
Budapest has got a lot of hot springs which gives the city character of a spa.
It has a population of more than 2 million inhabitants.

One of the most famous place is the Square of Heroes.

4. The House of Parliament
The great majority of its touristic sights can be found alongside the Danube river . The most impressive building is of the Houses of Parliament.

5. Lake Balaton
Lake Balaton is both Hungary and Central Europe’s largest fresh – water lake as such one of country’s most precious natural resources.
Its water – surface covers an area of 590 km2.
Before 1989 it was the main meeting point of the West – and East Germany’s inhabitant. That time they couldn’t visit each other in their own countries.
These times were Balaton’s golden age.

7. Hortobágy

„Hortobágy” is part of the Great Hungarian Plain.
It’s Europe’s largest steppe where Hungary’s first National Park lies.
In 1827 a stone-bridge was built on the Hortobágy river which got the name of „nineholes bridge”
It is a popular place for foreign tourists.
