1 Using garage band to create your narration

2 Open Garage Band Select New Project-Podcast Click Choose

3 Select the voice (male or female) and then click No Effects

4 Click the red button to record your narration.
Pro Tip: When playing back you can click the play button, or use your space bar to play and stop.

5 To trim the clip: Click on the audio (blue) and it will show up in the bottom half of the screen (purple). There you can choose sections to trim. If you want to start over, click on the audio and press delete to get rid of the whole recording.

6 Second voice/sound effects
Click on the next voice and no effects, or choose from the options (megaphone, helium voice, etc.) It will now appear as a second layer in the recording. When recording the second voice or sound effect, be sure to mute the initial recording, otherwise you will hear an echo.

7 To add a sound effect or jingle, click the loop button in the bottom right of your screen.
Drag the sound effect/jingle into screen and place it wherever you want it to be. You can lengthen or shorten it.

10 When ready to share, click SHARE then EXPORT PODCAST TO DISK
Please ensure it is in the MP3 format when exporting. (click the drop down menu of ”Compress Using” for more options, if yours is not set to MP3
