8 How can I get help to solve a problem?
STOP the Game. FIND a Peace Pal. SAY ‘We have a problem with our game, can you help us please.’ FIND a quiet spot away from the game and other pupils.

9 What Should Peace Pals do?
Stand in a Triangle, facing each other. Use names. Say “Yes …. and …. How can I help?” Listen to one point of view – no interruptions, no questions. Listen to the other point of view – no interruptions, no questions. Ask “What do you want to happen?” Think of a solution. Has a rule been broken that needs to be agreed? Does there need to be an apology? Does everyone need to count to 10? Do you need to ‘Agree to Disagree’. Thank those who have asked for help. Share the problem with another Peace Pal – can they suggest anything different?

10 Peace Pals Help Find Solutions…
Not taking turns - agree what exactly what order players go in Arguing over equipment – agree to take it in turns, 5 minutes each Not Sharing the Space – look at the space, have half each. Cheating or not following the rules – say the rules together and agree Shouting at each other – Stop, count to 10, apologise, try again Someone being too bossy – explain to them why they are being bossy and ask them to stop. Someone loosing their temper – take 2 minutes time out, go for a walk round the playground, apologise and explain why you got angry Calling names – ask why you called the name and was it necessary, apologise and promise to try not to do it again Pushing, shoving or tripping – put your hands being your back, step back, take 2 minutes out, apologies and explain your actions Excluding someone from a game – think how you would feel, invite them to join in your game Wasting time–chose to join in + follow the rules or find another game
